Steam Market guide
Selling, buying and trading Task Bar Hero items on Steam. Cooldowns, rules and the v1.00.07 policy change that broke a lot of inventories.
How to sell an item
- 1In-game
Open your inventory, right-click any item whose icon shows the Steam Market badge.
- 2Confirm tradability
Items rolled before v1.00.07 in the now-removed Uncommon Type B pool are kept but locked — they no longer appear in the Market listing dialog.
- 3List it
Pick a price in your local currency. Steam takes a ~13% fee (10% Steam + 3-5% app fee).
- 4Wait for the buyer
Listings sit in the queue until a buyer matches your asking price. You can cancel and re-list at any time.
- 5Currency returns to your Steam Wallet
Funds go to your Wallet, not PayPal. You can use them anywhere on Steam.
How to buy / receive items
- 1Open Steam Community Market
Search the game's Market page or paste the item URL.
- 2Pay from your Steam Wallet
Funds need to be on your Wallet — credit cards work too.
- 3Wait for the mailbox
After purchase the item lands in your TBH mailbox within ~10 seconds. Click the mailbox to claim it into your inventory.
- 47-day resale lock
You can use the item immediately, but cannot re-list it on the Market until 7 days pass.
Troubleshooting: "My item isn't showing"
Bought it but it's not in my inventory: wait 10-30 seconds for the mailbox to sync, then refresh the game. If still missing after 2 minutes, restart the game client.
Can't list it for sale: the item must be tradable. Items earned in pre-v1.00.07 builds of the Uncommon Type B pool were retroactively delisted. Check the badge on the item page.
Item shows but won't sell: 7-day resale lock applies to anything you bought on the Market. Items you found in-game can be listed immediately.
