Why drop chance first
Every other progression mechanic — gear, materials, Cube fuel — feeds off drops. A +20% Drop Chance Normal Chest rune compounds 1.2× across every chest you'll open for the rest of the game. Compound is king.
Inventory slot
When inventory fills, the game stops giving you drops until you alchemize or sell. A +N slot rune buys you tens of seconds back per session — adds up fast.
